We talk about our life’s journey and indeed everyone’s life is different and we all have stories to tell, and I’ve always envied those whose stories are exciting as my own is quite straightforward and not earth-shattering, but maybe it depends on viewpoints. But nonetheless it is my story and I’ll share with you what happened to me on my spiritual journey.
I became interested in spirituality in my mid-20s. A new friend talked to me one day about spiritual things and I hadn’t a clue what she was talking about but thought I’d go along with it, being polite.
She was friends with a medium who channeled spirit guides who subsequently brought through spiritual teachings and they held a small circle, with three or four people, one night a week. Anyway I was invited to go along to see what it was all about, and being curious I went.
On my first evening a spirit guide came through – I don’t know who it was and didn’t have the courage to ask anyway – but he/she asked me if I was frightened. It did feel somewhat odd but said no I was all right, and the spirit guide continued talking to us on various topics in which we could ask questions at the end. After that first evening it became quite normal to attend the circle every week, listening to spirit guides giving us as what I can only describe as high spiritual teachings, for which I’ve always been grateful and felt so lucky for the opportunity.
I attended this circle for a year or two and was not in a position to train for healing or psychic/clairvoyance development or indeed any other workshops until much later in life, as circumstances in life became a priority. But during this time I continued reading spiritual books.*
When my life settled down, I was taking the dog out for a walk early one morning before going to work, -and this is the most exciting part about it – when out of the blue a voice came from nowhere saying – go into psychic development – which I obediently did.
I started attending a weekly mediumship course at the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain in London. They ran weekend workshops on various subjects and I was attracted to attending a healing workshop there but I had no idea why I wanted to attend. Strangely it was during this workshop that I realized I knew about healing but didn’t know what I knew.
At the SAGB they ran a healing clinic and I subsequently trained to be a Spiritual Healer, which was six months studying the theory of healing and then becoming a probationary healer at the clinic for eighteen months before qualifying as a full-fledged Spiritual Healer. The time spent at the clinic was valuable in that I had the chance of working with other healers and learning from them, and also giving healing to a variety of clients who were suffering from various physical and emotional problems.
During this time I also trained as a Reiki Healer and then became interested in teaching Reiki, and thereafter conducted workshops at my home, as well as teaching at a London college for a few years. I now offer individual healing treatments, Reiki, Seichim and introductory intuition/psychic workshops at my home in Royston, Hertfordshire.
If you are interested in attending any of my workshops then please contact me via the contact form, which I would be very pleased to hear from you.
Also, if you have any queries then please use that contact form and I will be happy to answer your questions.
*Books that helped me on the spiritual journey:
Young, Diane Stein, Louise Hay to name but a few.
